M-audio X-session Pro User Manual

Using the MIDI learning wizard, I'm able to map the dials(knobs), faders and buttons on my XSession Pro MIDI controller to what I want in Mixxx 1.9.0 for Windows XP SP3 and Ubuntu Studio 10.10. My problem is that none of the buttons actually work. Dials and faders work fine. I ran Mixxx in debug mode to make sure the buttons (i.e. play/pause, cue, pfl, forward and backward) registered when assigning them and they all appear when pressed.

Player 1 pre fader listening for example,

I also noticed that when I go into Preferences, under MIDI Controllers my X-Session Pro shows up twice as USB X-Session In [1] and
USB X-Session In [2]
Only USB X-Session In [1] works.
I've tested this controller with Traktor and it works fine under XP. I'm migrating all my audio tools to recently installed Ubuntu Studio, so Traktor will no longer be an option.
Any help figuring this out would be much appreciated.
